Carry Your Baby Close with Wraps that are Secure Yet Comfortable!

Baby slings and wraps have become one of the greatest trends in baby carrying gear. They have revisited the modern day and age from the distant past when babies were carry in simple cloth pieces that did their job to wrap baby back. Baby hiking backpacks are great, but sometimes they can be a bit too bulky with too many straps and cinches to pull and release. That’s why it is good to have other options for those times you want more casual carrying equipment. This is where the most recent styles hit the old time traditions of baby wearing. Some cultures around the world never lost the custom of transporting their infants in this way. Usually this was done with extremely decorative and colorful designs that represented the family or cultural heritage.

Today there are basically two types of casual baby wears:

1) Wraps – offer the ease and comfort of “the original” way women all over the world wore their offspring. 2) Slings – are a blend of modern and traditional. They offer the soft fabric and close coziness but with a more sophisticated design that is a bit more high tech as far as security and function.

All babies love to be carried, that is for sure. I have never met an infant that did not love the close feeling and security of their mother’s heart beat right next to them. One good reason for this is obvious; it is just a step away from what it felt like to be in the womb. Most wraps and slings are worn with the baby in the front, this is often the most comfortable for both parties. Because caring for the newborn is a mothers first priority, she can see her babies face and read the signs of discomfort or need to breastfeed. The baby can see the mom and this often keeps them calm and mellow.

Slings are nice to have for more adventurous pursuits that involve covering a bit of distant, like in a shopping mall or on a walk in the park. They are simply just more ergonomic with a structure that supports the weight in a balance way instead of causing severe back aches or neck tensions from a displaced load. But, like we mentioned, they are unlike baby hiking packs in that they are usually made of softer materials that flex and bend with the body’s natural shape. This is particularly great when you are on your feet for several hours and need something that keeps your spine straight and your hips even.

Baby slings and wraps can make a great gift for the new mother to be at a baby shower. They are often perfect for the newly born baby that to small and petite for other pack varieties. It is nice to wrap baby back in the best possible textiles you can find. Many manufacturers are using the highest quality cloth to give adding protection and guarantee your babe is safe from danger at all times. Sometimes it just takes the right equipment and supplies to provide the very best for your young one. As they grow their needs will change, of course, but why not give them the finest that life has to offer right off the bat.
